Sorting and Filtering the Daily Timecards on the Web

This article you will learn how to apply filters above the table to focus on specific records, how to use dropdowns and date ranges to refine results and how to sort columns to change the order of the list of Timecards

Using the Filter Tiles

At the top of the Daily Timecards view you will see a row of filter tiles. Click a tile to instantly show only matching records:

These filters include:

  • All: Displays all Timecards within your date range

  • Pending: The Timecards that are not yet approved

  • Approved: The Timecards that have been approved

  • Early Clock In: Highlights shifts where an employee has clocked in before their scheduled time

  • Late Clock Out: Highlights shifts where an employee has clocked out after their scheduled time

  • Not Scheduled: Highlights timecards timecards where the employee was not scheduled to work

  • No Show: Highlights scheduled times where the employee never clocked in for the shift

  • With Notes: Highlights timecards that have had notes added to them. Often these notes are used to highlight important information

Filtering Your Timecards Further

Below the filter tiles are additional filters to show specific Daily Timecards

  1. Schedule dropdown (multi-select): Choose one or more schedules to display only those records.

  2. Position dropdown (multi-select): Filter by employee position(s).

  3. Date range selector: Choose a preset or set a custom range:

    • Today

    • This week

    • Last week

  4. Search by employee name: Type part of a name to instantly narrow the list.

In order to reset your timecards table to the default filters, just click the “Reset Filters” button

Sorting the Table of Daily Timecards

Each column header in the Daily Timecards table has an arrow icon. Click the icon to sort that column:

  • Clicking once sorts ascending (A→Z, earliest→latest, smallest→largest).

  • Clicking again sorts descending (Z→A, latest→earliest, largest→smallest).

  • Columns you can sort by include Date, Name, Schedule, Position, Extras, and Total Paid Hours.
