How to Troubleshoot and Prevent Issues with Clock-In/Out Functionality and Timecard Accuracy in Bizimply
Managing workforce scheduling effectively requires ensuring that clock-in and clock-out functionalities work seamlessly and that timecards accurately reflect employee hours. Below, we outline common issues, troubleshooting steps, and preventative measures to help you maintain accurate records in Bizimply.
Common Clock-In/Out Issues
1. Clock-In/Out Feature Stops Working After a Password Change
One common reason for the clock-in and clock-out feature to stop working is that the Timestation might be offline. This can occur after a password change or due to connectivity issues. To resolve this:
Log into the Timestation.
Enter the Manager PIN by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner.
Click on the icon above 'Status' in the bottom left of the screen. It will say 'checking' and then change to 'Synced' once the iPad is re-synced to the internet.
2. Bizimply Account Not Logging Clock-Ins or Outs
If your Bizimply account is not recording clock-ins or outs and employee hours are missing, the Timestation may be offline due to a WiFi connection issue. To fix this:
Check the device for any error messages.
Reconnect the device to the internet to restore proper logging.
Timecard Management and Payroll Accuracy
Missing Hours on Timecards After Payroll
Employee hours may be missing from timecards after payroll if the timecards were approved before all attendance records were entered. Once a timecard is approved, new clock-in and clock-out data will not be added for that period. To prevent this:
Ensure timecards are not approved until the end of the working week, after all attendance has been recorded.
Avoid early approval of timecards to ensure all hours are accurately reflected.
Preventative Measures
To minimize disruptions and ensure accurate time tracking:
Regularly check the Timestation’s connectivity and sync status.
Train managers and staff on proper timecard approval processes.
Monitor devices for error messages and address connectivity issues promptly.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your workforce scheduling remains accurate and efficient, reducing errors and improving payroll accuracy.
