What is the Bizimply and Sideways Integration?

The Bizimply and Sideways integration connects your workforce management and training platforms so your team data stays accurate and up to date — automatically.

The integration works in two directions. Employees are pushed from Bizimply to Sideways each night, while completed training records and completion status are synced back from Sideways into Bizimply. This means your managers can view training compliance directly within Bizimply, without needing to log in to Sideways separately.

Please note: the sync runs overnight. Any changes made today will be reflected in the other platform the following day.

How to set up the integration

Please note: This integration requires action from both Bizimply and Sideways. An Admin user on each platform will need to be involved in the setup process.

Step 1 — Request the integration. An Admin user must contact both Bizimply and Sideways to request the integration be enabled on their respective accounts. Your Bizimply account manager will coordinate with Sideways to configure the training records section within your Bizimply account so that data from Sideways appears correctly. Your account manager will be in touch to confirm when this is complete.

Step 2 — Receive your access link. Once both platforms have confirmed the request, Bizimply will provide you with a unique access link to begin the authorisation process.

Step 3 — Authorise the connection. An Admin user clicks the provided link and completes the authorisation steps. This grants Sideways permission to receive employee data from Bizimply and send training records back.

What to expect after setting up

Once the integration is active and your account has been configured, you can expect the following:

  1. Employees created or updated in Bizimply will automatically sync across to Sideways overnight, so any changes made today will be reflected in Sideways the following day.

  2. As employees complete training modules in Sideways, their training records and completion status will be pushed back into Bizimply overnight and will be visible in the employee profile the next day.

  3. Managers can view training compliance directly within Bizimply, reducing the need to switch between platforms.

Limitations & FAQs

Q. Who can request this integration?

Only Admin users on both Bizimply and Sideways can initiate the integration request. Standard users do not have the required permissions.

Q. How long does it take for changes to appear after syncing?

The sync runs overnight. Any employees added or updated in Bizimply today, or training completions recorded in Sideways today, will be reflected in the other platform the following day.

Q. Can I edit training records directly in Bizimply?

Training records that are synced from Sideways are managed within Sideways and are not editable directly in Bizimply. Any changes to training completions should be made in Sideways, where they will sync back into Bizimply overnight.
