What is a credit?
Every time someone asks Concierge a question, it uses a bit of “thinking effort” behind the scenes to understand the question, look at your attendance data, and write back a clear answer. We measure that effort in credits.
Think of credits like a monthly allowance for asking Concierge questions. Your company gets a set number of credits each month, and each question you ask uses some of that allowance.
Why don’t all questions use the same number of credits?
Some questions are quick for Concierge to answer, some take a lot more work. A simple question uses fewer credits, while a more involved one uses more. In the same way a quick chat takes less effort than writing a detailed report.
A few examples:

“Compare lateness across all my locations over the last month” | Detailed and time-consuming |
The more locations, dates, or comparisons a question involves, the more credits it is likely to use, because Concierge has more to analyse and more to explain.

Roughly how far do credits go?
As a general guide, most companies find that 5,000 credits covers somewhere around 50 to 80 questions with Concierge, depending on how detailed the questions are. If you mostly ask quick, simple questions you will get more questions for your credits, while if you are asking a lot of detailed questions, the credits will be used up faster.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn’t every question the same “cost”?
Because some questions take Concierge more work to answer than others. A quick lookup uses less of your allowance than a detailed comparison across several locations and weeks.
Does a longer question always use more credits?
Not necessarily. What matters most is how much data Concierge has to look through and how detailed the answer needs to be, not simply how long your question is.
Can I see how many credits a specific question used?
Not currently. Credit usage is tracked and totalled for your whole company rather than shown per question.
If I ask the same question twice, does that use credits twice?
Yes, asking again counts as a new question. Simply re-reading an answer you already have is free.
My company asks a lot of questions. Can we get a bigger allowance?
