Understanding Access Levels and Managing Scheduling in Bizimply
Bizimply offers tools for workforce scheduling and management, with distinct access levels and features tailored to different user roles. Below, we explain the differences in access levels and provide a practical workaround for managing employee unavailability in scheduling.
Access Levels in Bizimply
In Bizimply, user roles determine the level of access and permissions available:
Employee Portal: Employees can view their rota (schedule) and access personal information related to their shifts. This role is designed for individual team members to stay informed about their work schedules.
Manager Access: Managers have broader administrative permissions, including the ability to manage schedules, oversee multiple sites, and perform other administrative tasks. This role is intended for users responsible for workforce management and operational oversight.
Managing Employee Unavailability in Scheduling
If you do not have access to the Unavailability feature in Bizimply but need to block specific days for an employee, you can use the following workaround:
Open a future week with an empty schedule.
For each employee, add an "Unavailable" shift on the recurring days you want to block (e.g., specific weekdays).
Save this week as a template by copying the schedule.
When creating a new schedule, start by copying this template. The unavailable days will already be marked, allowing you to build the rest of the schedule around them.
This method ensures that unavailable days are consistently accounted for, even without direct access to the Unavailability feature.
By understanding the access levels and using creative scheduling techniques, Bizimply users can effectively manage their workforce and address common scheduling challenges.
