Where can employees see the News Feed?​

The News Feed is designed for employees using MyZimply. Employees with permission to access the Communications tab can also view the News Feed using their web portal via the Communications tab (when they have filtered to All Locations).

Who can create a post on the News Feed

  • Account Admins

  • All employees with the Permission to ‘create posts’ within account access/news feed

How to create a post on the News Feed

  1. Add a title - This is the subject of your post.

  2. Add a message - The text of your post. This is a required field.

  3. Add an attachment - You have the option to attach a file to each post, for more detail see below.

  4. Mark Acknowledgement Required if necessary, for more detail see below.

  5. Mark a post as important: this will add a label your post signifying to employees the post’s contents contains important information

  6. Once you’re happy with your post and its contents, hit the ‘Post’ button. This will then be added to the company wide news feed for your entire organisation to see

How does the Acknowledgement Required option work?

Selecting the Acknowledgement Required option when posting a message requires employees confirm they have read and understood a post. Employees can do this by clicking "Confirm Acknowledgement" below the post on either MyZimply or in the web app.

NB: Once a user has acknowledged a post they cannot remove or revert their confirmation.

How to track acknowledgments on a post

Any user with the correct permissions can track acknowledgements on a post by clicking the View Acknowledgements button on the post itself, both in MyZimply or the web app. Clicking View Breakdown will show which employees have and have not acknowledged the post.

Who can review acknowledgements?

  • Any user with the permission to mark a post within ‘Acknowledgement required’

  • All admins within the business

How to delete a post on the News Feed?

  1. Click on the three dots in the top right hand corner of a post

  2. Click on Delete Post

  3. When asked to confirm, click Delete

  4. Post is deleted from all employee news feed

Who can delete a News Feed post?

  • The user who created the post

  • All employees with admin access

What files can be uploaded using the Documents feature?

The max upload size is 25mb.
