How to Claim Open Shifts

How an employee on Bizimply can claim Open Shifts

You may receive an alert on MyZimply or an Email alert that your can claim an Open Shift at your place of work. This is how to manage this.

How to Know When an Open Shift is Available

You’ll get a push notification and email if:

  • A manager has published an open shift, and

  • You are not already scheduled at that time.

You can also check the MyZimply app or the web app for available Open Shifts.


How to Claim an Open Shift

  1. Go to your Schedule view (on MyZimply).

  2. Look for “Open Shift” entries.

    Tap a shift to see:

    • Shift details

(If you want to see how the shift will affect your weekly hours, you will need to check through the Web Application rather than the MyZimply app.)

3. Click Claim Shift.

Your claim will be marked as “Pending Approval.”


How to Cancel a Claim

  1. Go back to the claimed shift.

  2. Tap Delete Claim.

  3. You’ll see this message the below on the mobile app:


How to Know if your Shift Claim was Approved

On the MyZimply app you will receive a notification if your shift claim is accepted. You will also receive an email to confirm the approval.

How to Know if your Shift Claim was Declined

On the MyZimply app you will receive a notification if your shift claim was delinced. You will also receive an email to confirm this.
