How to configure two-factor authentication using MyZimply

NB: 2FA requires MyZimply 5.1.2 or above

  1. If you you are not already using one, install an authentication app such as Google Authenticator on your device (click here for iPhone, click here for Android). This app is essential for the authentication process.

  2. Open MyZimply

  3. Click the menu icon at the top right of the screen and click Security

  4. In the security menu, click Two-Factor Authentication

  5. Scan the QR code with your authentication app or manually enter the code that appears underneath.

  6. Enter the code generated by your authenticator app into MyZimply

  7. Download your backup codes and store them securely


How to configure two-factor authentication on the Employee Portal

  1. If you you are not already using one, install an authentication app such as Google Authenticator on your mobile device (click here for iPhone, click here for Android). This app is essential for the authentication process.

  2. Login to Bizimply

  3. Click on the Your Profile option from the menu at the top of the screen

  4. In the menu on the left-hand side, click Security

  5. Click the on switch beside the Two-Factor Authentication option

  6. Scan the QR code with your authentication app or manually enter the code that appears underneath.

  7. Enter the code generated by your authenticator app

  8. Download your backup codes and store them securely

Logging in to MyZimply with two-factor authentication

  1. Open MyZimply

  2. Enter your login details as normal

  3. Open your authenticator app

  4. Enter the code generated by the app into MyZimply

Logging in to the Employee Portal with two-factor authentication

  1. Open the Bizimply webpage

  2. Enter your login details as normal

  3. Open your authenticator app

  4. Enter the code generated by the app into MyZimply

How to reset two-factor authentication for a user

NB: this can only be performed by a user with correct permissions

  1. Login to Bizimply

  2. Find the employee profile of the affected user

  3. Click on the Work tab

  4. Beside 2FA Status, click the green Reset 2FA button

    NB: Admins can view and reset the 2FA status of other admins
    ​
