What Are Shift Offers?

Shift Offers let employees offer their scheduled shifts when they can’t work — no texts, no emails, no stress.

When an employee offers a shift, it becomes an Open Shift (with a hidden "Shift Offer" tag for managers), allowing other eligible teammates to claim it.

A teammate is only eligible to claim a shift if they are not currently working during the time of the shift AND if they have the same position as the employee who offered the shift.

Once a claim is submitted, a manager must approve the transfer before the shift is reassigned.

This makes handing off shifts smooth, trackable, and fully transparent, with final control always in the manager’s hands.

For Admins: How to Turn On Shift Offers

  1. Click on your name or emails address in the top-right corner.

  2. Go to SettingsScheduling Settings.

  3. Click on Shift Offers

  4. Toggle Shift Open Shift ON if not on already

  5. Toggle Shift Offer ON

  6. Set an optional Shift Offer Limit to restrict how many shifts an employee can offer per week.

  7. Click Save.

Shift Offers require Open Shifts to be active. If Open Shifts is OFF, Shift Offers cannot be turned ON.

Permissions:

Managers need Shift Offers permissions in their role to approve shift claims.

Employees do not need special permissions — they see eligible shifts automatically.
