Who Can Access Attendance Insights?
Admins have immediate access to the Attendance Insights Dashboard and can grant access permissions to other specific roles. Any roles granted access to Attendance Insights will see all widgets but only the data for their relevant locations that they have permission to view.
Filtering and Sorting Options
At the top of the dashboard, you can apply General Filters to refine the data shown across all sections. These filters include:
Date Picker: Lets you filter the dashboard by selecting a period of time that you wish to see on the dashboard (e.g. all scheduled and clock-in records for this month)
Granularity Picker: Lets update the time-series chart to display data per day, week, month, quarter, year
Location: Allows you to display data for specific Timecard Location(s).
Position: Lets you focus on data relevant to certain Positions that are assigned on Timecard.
Schedule: Lets you focus on data relevant to certain Schedules that are assigned on Timecard.
Employee: let you filter the dashboard based on the Employee name. Helpful if you wish to view KPI and trends during employee performance meetings.
Dashboard explained
Late arrivals: Displays the count and duration instances where employees clocked in after the scheduled start time. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
Early departures: Displays the count and duration instances where employees clocked out before the scheduled end time. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
Early arrivals: Displays the count and duration instances where employees clocked in before the scheduled start time. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
Late departures: Displays the count and duration instances where employees clocked out after the scheduled end time. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
No shows: Displays the number of scheduled shifts where employees did not clock in. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
Unscheduled clock records: Displays the number of clock records where an employee does not have a shift on the schedule. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
Adjusted clock records: Displays the number of clock records that were manually entered or adjusted on the attendance tab. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
Unprocessed clock records: Displays the number of clock records where employees clock in or out after their timecard is approved. These clock records do not appear on the employee's Timecard. The KPI is interactive - clicking it opens a detailed table that can also be exported as a CSV file.
No shows, Late arrivals, Early departures (%): This chart shows trends over time for the percentage of no shows, late arrivals, and early departures across all shifts.
Top 5 by No shows (%): Lists the top 5 locations, schedules, positions, or employees with the highest no show rate for the selected period.
Top 5 by Late arrivals (%): Lists the top 5 locations, schedules, positions, or employees with the highest late arrival rate for the selected period.
Top 5 by Early departures (%): Lists the top 5 locations, schedules, positions, or employees with the highest early departure rate for the selected period.
Attendance Overview Table: Displays the detailed records behind the KPIs. You can filter to view Late Arrivals, Early Departures, No Shows, Unscheduled clock records or manually/adjusted clocked records. The table includes:
Scheduled shift start and end times
Actual clock-in and clock-out times
Differences between scheduled vs. actual times
Net difference in hours: The overall difference between scheduled and actual hours worked, combining start and end time variances (e.g. if an employee clocked in late but stayed longer, this shows the net impact).
This gives full visibility into how each record contributes to the KPIs and helps validate or investigate attendance data.
