How to log training for your employees

Employee training is only as effective as the number of employees who complete it. Bizimply's employee training features will allow you to keep track of the training status for all of your employees, so you can tell at a glance if your training is making the maximum impact.

About Employee Training

In employee training, there are 3 tabs:

  • Incomplete: These are the training records that have been assigned to this employee, but they have not yet been completed.

  • Complete: These records have been marked as complete for this employee.

  • Unassigned: These are all the active training types that have not yet been assigned to this employee.

How To Log Training Records on Bizimply

  1. Click into the 'Employees' tab in the navigation bar

  2. Click into the relevant employee profile

  3. Click into the 'Training' tab

  4. Select the blue '+ Training Record' button

5. Select a training type from the drop down

6. Fill in the description in the 'Comment' box and upload a file if necessary

7. Enter in the 'Due Date' field

8. Enter in the 'Completion Date' field if necessary

9. Click the blue save button at the bottom left of screen

How To Set Training Frequencies

Frequencies for trainings are set by Account Admins when they create training types in Settings. A training that is due for renewal will appear in the Training tab of the employee's profile as well as in the Training Due widget on the dashboard a certain number of days before it is due as shown in image below. The number of days is selected by Account Admins in Settings from the following options: 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days. To ensure training records appear as expected, it is important to configure the Training Display range correctly. Training records only become visible when their due date falls within the configured display window. For example, if the due date is far in the future and the display range is set to a shorter period, the record will not appear until it is within the specified range. Account Admins can adjust this setting in Settings > Employees > Employee Training by increasing the Training Display range to include future-dated due dates. Remember to save changes after making adjustments.

Key Factors Affecting Visibility:

  • Training Display Range: Training records only become visible when their due date falls within the configured display window. For example, if the due date is far in the future and the display range is set to a shorter period, the record will not appear until it is within the specified range.

  • Completion Status: Ensure that the Completion Date is left empty for incomplete training records.

Troubleshooting Common Issues:

If training records are not appearing as expected:

  • Verify that the Training Display range is set to include the due dates of the records.

  • Ensure that the Completion Date is left empty for incomplete training.

  • Confirm that you clicked Save after adding or updating training records.
