The Sales vs Labour Dashboard gives you near real-time and historical visibility into how your labour costs and hours compare to your sales, so you can make informed staffing decisions throughout the day and identify trends over time.
By tracking Labour Sales % alongside actual and scheduled labour, you can quickly see whether your staffing levels are appropriate relative to demand and act before it affects your profitability.
Note: The widgets you see depend on your permission level. Users with Labour Hours and Costs access will not see Sales data or Labour Sales %. Users with the full Sales vs Labour permission will see the complete dashboard. See ARTICLE for more information

Who can access the dashboard
Admins have immediate access to the Sales vs Labour Dashboard and can grant access to other roles. Users will only see data for the locations they have permission to view.
How to access the dashboard
You can access the Sales vs Labour Dashboard by navigating to Insights > Sales vs Labour where you can select different time frames and filters.
Understanding the Sales Vs Labour Dashboard
The Sales vs Labour Dashboard combines filters, KPI cards, Charts, Tables and Data Downloads to give you a complete view of labour efficiency relative to sales.
Filters
At the top of the dashboard, you can customise your view using the following filters:
Date range: Defaults to Today and shows live data on an hourly basis. Select from a range of preset periods (this week, last month, this quarter, and more) or use the custom date range picker.
Granularity: Defaults to Hours. View data broken down by 15 minute increment, hour, day, or week.
Comparison: Add a comparison against the same period from the previous year or the previous period. Comparisons appear in KPI cards and tables.
Location and Location Group: Filter by one location, multiple locations, or view data across your whole organisation.
Schedule: Filter by one or more schedules.
Hours/Costs toggle: Switch between viewing labour in hours or in costs. This applies across KPI cards and charts.
Changing any filter instantly refreshes the charts and tables across the dashboard.
KPI Cards
At the top of the dashboard, a row of KPI cards gives you an at-a-glance summary of performance for the selected date range and location(s):
Sales: Total sales for the period (Sales vs Labour permission required)
Labour Sales %: Actual labour cost as a percentage of sales, shown alongside your target Labour Sales % (Sales vs Labour permission required)
Actual Cost/Hours: Based on clock-in records for the current day, or paid timecard columns for historical date ranges
Scheduled Cost/Hours: Based on scheduled hours and costs from your schedule
Tip: Double-click a KPI card to view a detailed breakdown of the underlying data. You can also download this as a CSV for further analysis.
Charts
The dashboard includes four interactive charts:
Sales vs Labour over time: A line chart showing scheduled labour, actual labour, and sales side by side across the selected period. Hover to see exact values at each point in time. A vertical line marks the current time when viewing today’s data.
Labour Sales % over time: Shows how Labour Sales % has trended across the selected period.
Labour Sales % by location: Compare Labour Sales % performance across your locations.
Labour Sales % by schedule: Break down Labour Sales % by schedule type.
Each chart can be downloaded as a PNG image. Click the expand icon to open a chart in a larger modal view.
Tables
The dashboard includes two tables for deeper analysis:
Summary Metrics table: A single-row summary of all the metrics you have access to for the selected filters. Use this for a quick cross-metric snapshot.
Detailed Metrics table: View data broken down by hour, 15-minute increment, location, location group or schedule. Use the column selector to show only the metrics you care about. This table can be downloaded as a CSV.
Downloading data
Tables: Download as CSV using the export button on each table.
Charts: Download as PNG using the export icon on each chart.
KPI card drilldowns: Double-click a KPI card and download the underlying breakdown as a CSV.
How is data calculated in the Sales Vs Labour Dashboard?
Sales
Sales data comes from Revenue Centre. Revenue Centre must be enabled for sales to appear in the dashboard.
Labour
Supports hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, pay exceptions, and unpaid breaks.
Certain costs are not tied to a specific hour in the day because they are attributed on a daily basis. These include Timecard Adjustments, and costs for Salaried employees on a daily rate or preset days, who are either unscheduled or have not clocked in.
To ensure these costs are included in hourly breakdowns without distorting specific hours, they are spread across a standard window of 7am to 7pm each day.
Unpaid breaks are averaged across the length of the shift, rather than attributed to a specific moment, as the exact timing of a break is often not recorded.
